Port Angeles Symphony Guild
LaNice Korus joined our Board in 2007 and was surprised to learn how many of her Sunland neighbors were unaware of the Port Angeles Symphony Orchestra. Drawing from previous experience with a mid-western symphony, she founded the Port Angeles Symphony Guild.
The Guild's mission is to promote and increase music appreciation throughout the Olympic Peninsula, as well as provide administrative support and fundraising events designed to ensure the financial stability of the Port Angeles Symphony.
The Guild meets on an informal basis to plan its activities and maintains contact by telephone and e-mail. The 60 and growing number of members distribute program calendars and organize and host fund-raising events to benefit the Symphony. The Valentine's Day tea was a big hit, with husbands serving the ladies a delicious assortment of cakes, cookies, candies and, of course, tea.
In addition, the Guild hosts receptions for guest artists and members of our orchestra. Alexander Tutunov was honored at an after-concert reception in February, 2010. Members ofthe Board of Directors, the Guild, and Orchestra members all enjoyed this occasion.
The Guild welcomes all music lovers to join and help fulfill its mission. For more information about the Guild, we invite you to download and complete our invitation to join us. You may also call LaNice Korus (360.683.5524) or Mark Wendeborn (360.457.5579) at the Port Angeles Symphony office.
